There weren’t a lot of athletes who had gaudy numbers in the 2016 boys soccer season in the Mid-Valley.

But there were a lot who had good numbers.

South Salem senior Sebastian Ruelas finished his career by adding 16 goals and five assists to finish his career with his school record for goals with 41.

Defenders Gustavo Villalvazo of McNary and Jorge Garibay of McKay came back from knee injuries to score six goals and five assists (Villalvazo) and two assists (Garibay) this season.

And Woodburn defender Conner Karsseboom played a huge role by scoring nine goals from the back for the eventual state champions.

But West Salem senior Stuart Aeschliman continued his stellar numbers by scoring 18 goals and recording six assists.

These are the athletes on the All-Mid-Valley boys soccer team.
