Shane Schnepp rotated in the backfield for Cascade’s football team for most of the season.
But in the state semifinals he was the workhorse the Cougars needed.
The 5-foot-8, 170 pound senior running back rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries in Saturday’s 48-20 loss to Cottage Grove in the 4A semifinals.
Schnepp was voted the athlete of the week by a poll of readers.
Schnepp was named the Moda Health Player of the Game for the semifinal game.
