The impact of Anthony Santillan’s goal was more than just a statistic.
When the senior forward scored a goal in the 34th minute of Saturday’s 1-0 win against Wilsonville, it brought the school its fourth OSAA Class 5A state championship.
Santillan was voted the athlete of the week by a poll of readers.
Santillan was selected first-team all-Mid-Willamette Conference this season.
