Huge night for Bishop Mitchell leads Kennedy to win

Bishop Mitchell made a huge impact for Kennedy in its first game of the season.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound senior running back rushed for touchdowns of 40, 21, 50 and 60 yards and returned a punt 95 yards for a touchdowns in Friday’s 52-13 win against Clatskanie.

Josiah Gilbert, McNary football: The senior quarterback was 15 of 28 passing for 246 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a touchdown in Friday’s 38-35 win against North Salem.

Tyler Berrier, Amity: The senior running back rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown in the Warriors’ 26-13 win against Irrigon.

Peter Mason, Central: The senior receiver caught 11 passes for 177 yards and a touchdown in Friday’s 26-24 loss to Bend.

Teagan Quitoriano, Sprague: The junior tight end/defensive end caught two passes for 31 yards and two touchdowns, broke up a pass, had a sack, two tackles for loss and intercepted a pass in Friday’s 48-7 win against South Salem.
