There are lots of high school football players who have made their mark on the world, and their teams expect much out of those players.This is the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Mid-Valley preseason football team.
QB: Peter Mendazona, jr., Central
Passed for 1,927 yards and 22 touchdowns against nine interceptions as a sophomore.
RB: Nick Orlandini, sr., Blanchet
A four-year starter, the speedy runner was a first-team all-league player on both sides of the ball as a junior.
RB: Bishop Mitchell, sr., Kennedy
A first-team all-league player on both sides of the ball as a junior who amassed 1,800 yards and 25 touchdowns.
RB: Alvin Berroa, sr., Central
A second-team all-state player last year who rushed for 1,606 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior.
WR: Peter Mason, sr., Central
Caught 40 passes for 843 yards and nine touchdowns last season and is one of the toughest players in the state to cover.
WR: Rylan Stamback, sr., Salem Academy
Caught 39 passes for 669 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior and was a first-team all-league on offense as a junior.

A first-team all-league center as a junior and a dominant player up front.

An honorable mention all-state center as a junior and standout up front.

A three-year starter and honorable mention all-league player at fullback last season.
DL: Dustin Gubbels, sr., Silverton
A second-team all-Mid-Willamette player on the offensive line as a junior.
LB: Cota Wakem, sr., Cascade
A first-team all-state linebacker as a junior and three-year starter on defense.
LB: Matthew Jarding, sr., McKay
A first-team all-league linebacker as a junior who led the team in rushing as a junior with 586 yards and eight touchdowns on 128 carries.
LB: Kolby Barker, sr., McNary
A two-year starter at defensive line and first-team all-league player as a junior, he moves to the offensive line to take advantage of his skill and to middle linebacker on defense.
LB: Tanner Earhart, sr., Dallas
The team’s leading rusher last year and a standout at linebacker.
DB: Anthony Zellner, sr., West Salem
A first-team all-league defensive player who leads a solid secondary.
DB: Tanner Scanlan, sr., North Marion
A first-team all-league punter as a junior and an outstanding all-around athlete.
